Information on the Havana Airport, Terminals & Co
The international airport in Havana, named after the Cuban writer and national hero Jose Martí, is divided into 3 terminals. Terminal 1 is reserved for the national flights inside of Cuba, while terminals 2 and 3 are dedicated to international arrivals and departures. It is worth mentioning that both terminals are about 2 km away from each other, and there is no transfer between them. Check every time which exact terminal your flight departs from. Basically, for planes coming from Europe, terminal 3 is accommodating air travel companies such as Air France, KLM, Air Europa, Aeroflot, Virgin Atlantic, Iberia, Turkish Airlines and Cubana. Terminal 2 is mostly used by charter planes and low-cost flights like Condor, Edelweiss and Eurowings.
Upon entering the country, formalities, including the passport check and luggage pick-up usually take about 60 minutes, depending on the influx of passengers. Should it take longer than usual, you need not worry, our drivers are aware of it and they will still be waiting for you at the airport exit. The travel from the airport to the City centre of Havana, as well as to Vedado and Miramar, usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
